Job Description

Overview We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Restoration Mitigation Inspector / Signer to serve as the first point of contact during emergency response situations. In this role, you'll represent our company on-site, conducting comprehensive inspections for water, fire, mold, and storm-related damage. You'll document findings using advanced tools and technology, develop clear and accurate scopes of work, and provide critical direction to field technicians. This position plays a key role throughout the entire lifecycle of a project—from initial assessment to final completion. In addition to evaluating loss sites, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, you will also be responsible for presenting findings to clients, clearly explaining the scope of work, and securing the job. Your attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to communicate effectively will help drive successful outcomes and maintain our high standards of service.
Responsibilities Emergency Response:
Respond to residential and commercial properties to assess damage caused by water, fire, smoke, and mold.
Technical Assessment:
Utilize thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, and hygrometers to identify hidden moisture and the full extent of damage.
Documentation:
Create detailed, professional sketches of affected areas (MITIGATE / PLNAR & Xactimate).
Scope of Work:
Develop comprehensive scopes of work and estimates that clearly outline the mitigation process for our technicians to follow.
Client Communication:
Explain the mitigation process to property owners, answer questions, and secure the necessary authorizations to begin work.
Compliance:
Ensure all documentation meets industry standards (IICRC) and insurance requirements
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in water, fire, and mold mitigation.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using moisture mapping tools, thermal imaging cameras, and industry-standard Mitigate software.
Certifications:
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT) are highly preferred.
Communication:
Strong ability to explain technical damage assessments to homeowners and insurance adjusters. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to produce accurate, legible sketches and detailed notes that leave no room for ambiguity.
Reliability:
Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency after-hours calls. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
