Job Description

Join our team! We are hiring for the role of Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician in the Fire Department. •
LATERAL HIRING PROCESS ONLY
•Essential Job Functions Respond to various emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, vehicular accidents, hazardous material incidents, and surface water rescues. Respond to various alarms, carrying and setting up appropriate equipment at emergency scenes. Suppress fires, including, but not limited to: climbing ladders, crawling, walking on roofs and floors, & focusing streams of water and/or chemicals toward fires. Search for and rescue victims from dangerous situations. Respond to emergency medical calls. Provide medical care to sick or injured people. Work as part of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team to help stabilize patients. Respond to reports of hazardous materials, including identifying/confining hazardous materials to minimize or prevent damage. Perform various administrative tasks as required, including typing and preparing reports. Monitor and perform general maintenance on equipment. Assist in maintaining fire station and grounds.
