The Town of Douglas Fire Department is accepting applications for per-diem Firefighter/Paramedics and FF/EMTs. Candidates must be able to complete a CORI/detailed background check, medical physical exam, and DOT drug screening as a condition of employment. Shifts available include 10, 14, and 24 hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends. Duties include, but are not limited to, responding to fire and ambulance calls, attending training as required, report writing, station duties/maintenance, and apparatus/equipment checks. A commitment of 24 hours per month is required.
Required minimum qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Massachusetts EMT-Basic or Paramedic Certification
- ACLS (Paramedic Only)
- FF I/II Certification & Hazardous Materials Operations Level
- 1 year of experience as a firefighter/EMT The salary range for this position is
- $24.38
- $30.36 (FF/EMT) hourly
- $29.13
- $36.28 (FF/Paramedic) hourly Position is open until filled
