•The City of Grandville seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of full-time Fire Training Officer. This position is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and instructing the department's various training programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to general calls for service and emergency calls, maintaining records and databases, assisting with the development of grants, and developing and overseeing the mentoring of new fire service instructors. Minimum Qualifications include:
High School diploma or equivalent, ability to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug test, Firefighter I & II certified, Company Officer I, II, and III certifications, EMT-B certification, Fire Instructor I, Fire Instructor II (or ability to obtain within 12 months), NIMS
ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, NIMS ICS 300 & 400
(or ability to obtain within 12 months), Michigan EMS Instructor Coordinator (or ability to obtain within 12 months), valid State of Michigan Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record with the ability to maintain one throughout employment, and the ability to meet the physical and mental standard prescribed by the National Fire Protection Association. The Fire Training Officer pay range starts at $38.07/hour ($79,185.60 annual) with a maximum wage of $49.53/hour ($103,022.40 annual). This is a full-time position with a schedule working 40 hours per week. The City of Grandville is an EEO/AA Employer.
