On-Call Firefighter - Elk River

Seeking candidates for the position of On-Call Firefighter. Firefighters provide fire suppression, rescue, medical and other emergency care in accordance with the rules and regulations, administrative policies, and operational procedures of the Fire Department. Helps keep the department in a constant state of readiness, attends training, maintains department and personal equipment, and assists with fire prevention and public education. Probationary firefighters earn $11.46 per hour; pay rate following probation is $18.05 per hour. Potential to earn a pension! Qualified candidates must have a high school degree or the equivalent; be at least 18 years of age; live within 9 minutes of an Elk River fire station; have a valid class D Minnesota driver's license; be able to satisfactorily pass the required pre-employment screening, including physical agility testing, criminal background check, physical fitness test including drug screen, and psychological assessment.
