Duties Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incident calls with professionalism and urgency Operate fire suppression equipment such as hoses, extinguishers, and ladders effectively during emergencies Provide first aid, CPR, and basic life support to stabilize patients until advanced medical help arrives Conduct thorough scene assessments, including vital signs monitoring and mechanical evaluations of equipment or hazards Perform heavy lifting tasks to transport victims or move firefighting gear safely during operations Maintain clear communication with team members and coordinate efforts to contain fires or manage incidents Inspect fire scenes for safety hazards and ensure proper ventilation or ventilation procedures are followed Requirements Prior EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) experience is highly desirable, along with certifications in first aid, CPR, and basic life support Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one for driving emergency response vehicles Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot firefighting equipment effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently during shifts Strong understanding of vital signs assessment and basic medical procedures in emergency settings Proven ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in high-stakes situations Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and community service Embark on a rewarding career where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to save lives.
