Under regular supervision, responds to fire emergencies, rescues, hazardous material and medical calls occurring on a military installation. Perform 24-hour standby for fire suppression and rescue operations under conditions that can be extremely stressful and dangerous. Operate fire apparatus and other related equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, tools, protective clothing and other assigned equipment. Participate in training and evaluation exercises as required. McCrady Fire Department provides 24/7 emergency services and will consist of three shifts, each working 24-hrs on/off with an average workweek of 53-hrs and 106-hrs per scheduled pay period.
