This full-time position is responsible for training newly hired security personnel, conducting field evaluations, and helping ensure consistent service standards across multiple client locations. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable security professional who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and helping officers build confidence and competence in the field. Valid Driver's License and Reliable Personal Vehicle Key Responsibilities Officer Training & Field Instruction Deliver practical, hands-on training to newly assigned security officers Guide employees through site-specific procedures, post orders, and client expectations Demonstrate effective patrol techniques, access control procedures, and security best practices Train personnel on emergency response protocols and incident handling procedures Reinforce proper use of company software, reporting systems, radios, and security technology Assist officers in developing strong customer service and communication skills Performance Evaluation & Coaching Observe officer performance during field assignments Complete trainee progress reports and performance assessments Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback Identify areas requiring additional development or corrective instruction Recommend officers for independent assignments upon successful completion of training requirements Support employee growth through professional guidance and accountability Compliance & Quality Assurance Promote adherence to company standards, policies, and operational procedures Verify that security personnel maintain licensing and certification requirements where applicable Conduct site visits and quality checks to evaluate service delivery Reinforce workplace safety practices and risk reduction measures Ensure accurate completion of reports, logs, and required documentation Leadership Support Serve as a resource for officers, supervisors, and management teams Assist with refresher training and ongoing workforce development initiatives Participate in incident reviews and fact-gathering when requested Support performance improvement efforts and operational consistency across assigned locations Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle available for work-related travel Minimum of two years of experience in security, public safety, military, law enforcement, or a related field Strong written communication and report-writing abilities Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overnight assignments when needed Professional demeanor with strong leadership and interpersonal skills Preferred Previous experience as a trainer, mentor, supervisor, lead officer, or Field Training Officer Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Public Administration, or a related field Experience conducting officer evaluations and performance coaching Familiarity with multiple security environments and client-facing operations Skills for Success Leadership and team development Coaching and mentorship Conflict resolution and de-escalation Critical thinking and sound judgment Attention to detail Professional communication Documentation and reporting Time management and organization Adaptability in changing environments Work Environment Primarily field-based position with travel between client locations Combination of indoor and outdoor responsibilities Regular walking, standing, site inspections, and field observation activities Interaction with officers, supervisors, clients, and operational leadership Schedule flexibility required to support training and operational needs Benefits Benefits eligibility may vary based on company policy and employment status.
