00 per hour (DOE) Join Our Team and Ignite Your Career! B&R Auto Wrecking is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control & Shipping Specialist to join our team. This role combines quality assurance, inventory accuracy, and shipping operations to ensure our customers receive the right parts, in the right condition, at the right time. You'll play a critical role by inspecting and testing automotive parts, documenting inventory accuracy, and coordinating shipping activities to support efficient daily operations.
What You'll Do:
Quality Control Responsibilities Inspect, clean, test, and grade vehicle parts according to company quality standards. Accurately document part conditions, defects, and any damage discovered during inspection. Communicate with sales representatives regarding quality discrepancies or inventory concerns. Maintain records detailing part defects and quality findings. Support continuous improvement efforts within B&R's quality control program. Recognize nonconforming products and escalate concerns appropriately. Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities Read and understand work orders to accurately identify parts for shipment. Prepare, package, seal, label, and organize parts for delivery. Verify shipment contents against invoices, manifests, and delivery records. Determine the most efficient shipping methods and coordinate with carriers. Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, delivery tickets, and shipping orders. Record shipment data, damages, discrepancies, and freight information. File claims for lost or damaged shipments when necessary. Assist with daily data entry and outbound delivery coordination. Assist with loading route trucks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Comfortable communicating with sales teams, drivers, and shipping partners. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Automotive industry experience preferred. Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or quality control experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and move automotive parts. Ability to work in a warehouse and automotive environment. Why B&R Auto Wrecking?
