Job Description

This vacancy is for a
GS-1412-13, TECHNICAL INFO SPEC
located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SILC
BOD BUSINESS AND INFORMATION SERVICES BRANCH
in NORFOLK, Virginia.
Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS- 13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Developing and enforcing standards for data (such as
CAD, BIM, GIS
); overseeing data integration efforts; performing data analysis; and ensuring data quality and integrity. Leading interdisciplinary teams; developing project strategies, schedules, and costs; and tracking project performance and lessons learned. Gathering requirements, conducting feasibility studies, and working with technical specialists to develop and deploy solutions. AND Additional Specialize Experience GS-13: Experience must have demonstrated the ability to perform, supervise, or direct one or more of the functional areas of work covered by this series; to understand the concepts, theories, new developments, and co-relationship of information in related fields; and to maintain up-to-date information on the state of the art. For positions where foreign language proficiency is needed, applicants must be able to read and/or translate material in the appropriate specialized subject-matter field.
