Job Description

  • Individuals make informed, un-coerced choices Function of Position Responsible for the provision of information and support to sexual assault victims through the legal and medical process Essential Responsibilities and Job Duties Provide advocacy services for SA victims in the medical, civil, and criminal justice systems Accompany victims to court appearances Facilitate professional trainings Represent the agency on committees and taskforces Promote the advocacy program to build public and institutional awareness and utilization Participate in regional sexual assault response team development and on-going team activities Provide supervision to hourly on-call medical advocates Participate in on-call rotation Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation Other duties that support the mission of QUANADA.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree-Human Services or related field preferred At least two years' experience in a human services field Ability to work as part of a collaborative team Passion and alignment with QUANADAs mission and values Willingness to commit to a self-care plan to mitigate harm from vicarious trauma Completion of required advocacy trainings through ICASA within 1 year of hire It is the policy of QUANADA to provide equal employment and advancement opportunity without regard to an employee's race, color, sex, gender, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, marital status, public assistance status, membership or activity in a local commission, sexual orientation, disability, or on any other characteristic protected by federal or state law or applicable ordinance.
