Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Conflict Free Case Management, the Justice Services Coordinator will coordinate with law enforcement, courts, 911/central dispatch and jail-based services across the organization This includes providing training to justice staff in understanding behavioral health needs of people we serve as well as training and coaching to WMCMH staff on the unique needs and culture of the justice system. They will serve as part of the organization's overall leadership team, promoting and demonstrating commitment to the organization's mission, vision, values, and care philosophy. This position will be responsible for ongoing development, overseeing and coordination of justice related services. This includes providing both direct supervision of staff that are members of the Justice Services team, and consultative supervision to staff on service delivery teams regarding justice related services, (staff positions could include staff providing services directly in the jails, staff involved in specialty courts, any staff where the treatment interfaces with justice systems such as referrals from courts, probation officers, MDOC, 911/central dispatch and judges.) They will support their team in communication with other team coordinators to ensure timely, responsive changes to person-centered plans and IPOS to meet changing needs of the individuals served. They will ensure team members understand and consistently adhere to established agency policies and procedures. They will be responsible for interfacing with community partners related to Justice Services work, specifically as facilitator of the Law Enforcement and Behavioral Health Collaborative and provide CMH related training and education, including participation in CIT (Crisis Intervention Team).
