Job Description

Under the general direction of the Administrator, the Hearings & Regulatory Officer (agency manager) manages and oversees the administrative hearings and regulatory process for the Division in coordination with the Department's legal counsel and Chief Deputy Attorney General. This includes serving as a quasi-judicial officer responsible for conducting administrative hearings, developing policies and procedures for hearings and appeals in collaboration with counsel, drafting of new and amended regulations for facility licensure and oversight, ensuring hearings and regulations are in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, and serving the Division's liaison with Nevada Medicaid for the implementation of the state's Settlement Agreement with U.S. Department of Justice, specifically with respect to updating the regulatory framework for the Division's licensure and oversight of Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs) in the state. This wage reflects retirement contributions by the employee/employer paid plan. The employer paid only contribution plan is available with a reduced gross salary.
