Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Magistrate Secretary I (Floater), where you will play a vital role in supporting judicial operations across multiple courtrooms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient functioning of the judiciary by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support. As a floater, you will bring your organizational skills and legal administrative experience to various courts, ensuring seamless case management and excellent customer service for all visitors and stakeholders. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold the integrity and professionalism of our judicial system. Duties Provide clerical support across multiple courtrooms, including data entry, filing, and document preparation Assist with legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files with accuracy and confidentiality Facilitate communication between judges, attorneys, litigants, and court staff to ensure smooth proceedings Manage courtroom schedules, coordinate hearings, and prepare necessary paperwork for hearings and trials Handle cash transactions related to fines or fees with precision and accountability Maintain organized records of filings, court documents, and administrative logs in accordance with legal standards Support administrative tasks such as answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service to visitors Experience Prior experience in a legal or judicial setting as a paralegal or legal secretary is highly desirable Demonstrated proficiency in litigation support, legal drafting, and research activities Strong office experience with familiarity in word processing software and data entry systems Proven clerical skills including filing, record keeping, and document management Experience in legal administrative roles involving customer service and handling sensitive information Organizational skills that enable multitasking across various courts or departments efficiently Basic cash handling knowledge combined with office administrative experience to ensure accuracy in financial transactions This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact within the judicial system while developing their legal administrative expertise.
