Job Description :
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. Responds to phone calls to check defendants in and answer questions regarding bonds or court dates. Accurately enters data into computer systems to assist defendants with requests for a Court Appointed Attorney and update information. Interviews defendants for Bond application; checks criminal histories; and verifies information provided by calling references to make sure that defendants have a place to live. Ensures the presiding judge has required documentation to process defendants. Write Bonds and enters information into computer system for defendants that qualify for pretrial bonds. Collects Bond fees. Performs related work as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by six (6) months of general office experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Physical Demands:
Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Involves routine and frequent exposure to: none
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
