Summer Legal Intern
Court Name/Organization Utah Federal Public Defender
Overview of the Position The Federal Public Defender for the District of Utah has an opening for a full-time Summer Legal Intern. The federal defender organization operates under authority of the Criminal Justice Act, 18 U.S.C. Section 3006A, to provide legal defense representation to indigent persons charged with federal criminal offenses and related matters in the federal courts. The Summer Legal Intern is a law student or a recent graduate of a law school. This position is full-time temporary, not to exceed 90 days. Legal Interns are pending admission to the bar and therefore are not permitted to represent clients in court.
