Bar Full Job Description Job Summary:
Are you looking for a growing law firm to plant your roots and be a part of? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, ability to handle a diverse caseload, and 2-5 years litigation experience. The Associate Attorney will work closely with a Managing Attorney and our Shareholders to represent clients in various legal matters, including litigation, transactions, and advisory services.
Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with a team of associate attorneys, paralegal, and administrative assistant. 2. Conduct legal research on various issues and provide analysis and interpretation of statutes, regulations, and case law. 3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements. 4. Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations. 5. Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings. 6. Interview clients, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence for cases. 7. Analyze and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients. 8. Collaborate with Shareholders and legal staff to develop case strategies and trial preparation. 9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation. 10. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved in legal proceedings. 11. Delegate effectively to associate attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar association. 2. 2-5 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a defense litigation firm. 3. Strong academic record with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. 4. Knowledge of substantive and procedural law relevant to the practice area. 5. Experience with legal research tools and technology. 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 9. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service. 10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and areas of law.
