This opportunity is well suited for a law clerk or entry-level attorney who wants to build hands-on experience handling defense-side civil matters in a collaborative setting. The firm is prepared to support development and provide guidance, making this an excellent role for someone eager to strengthen courtroom and case preparation skills.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the management of defense litigation matters from initial case review through resolution. Prepare legal motions, memoranda, and other written submissions with careful attention to accuracy and strategy. Support discovery efforts by drafting responses, reviewing materials, and helping organize case evidence. Conduct legal research and develop briefing that addresses procedural and substantive issues in civil disputes. Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy, deadlines, filings, and day-to-day litigation tasks. Participate in the preparation of pleadings, correspondence, and other documents required for active matters. 0-5 years of experience in a legal setting, including internship, clerkship, or attorney experience related to litigation. Background or demonstrated interest in civil litigation and defense-oriented legal work. Ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents in a clear and organized manner. Familiarity with discovery processes, including document review, written responses, and case file management. Licensed attorney in good standing in AZ or eligibility to work as a law clerk, depending on level and credentials. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
