The firm represents numerous Fortune 500 companies, mid-market businesses, franchise systems, high net worth individuals, and entrepreneurs. We are seeking an Accounting Clerk with 1-3 years of experience, who is detail-oriented to support the financial operations of a fast-paced legal environment. This role is responsible for legal billing, accounts receivable, trust accounting support, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and law firm accounting procedures. The ideal candidate has strong experience with legal accounting systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and administrative staff. Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including data entry, account reconciliations, and general ledger upkeep Prepare and process client invoices, ensuring billing entries are accurate and consistent with engagement terms Manage accounts payable: review vendor invoices, code expenses, and process payments on schedule Assist with trust/IOLTA account tracking and reconciliation in compliance with applicable rules Track outstanding receivables and support collections follow-up Help prepare month-end and ad hoc financial reports Organize and maintain financial files and supporting documentation Qualifications 1-3 years of bookkeeping, billing, or accounts payable experience (law firm or professional services experience a plus) Familiarity with accounting and legal billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Clio, or similar) Solid Excel skills and comfort with reconciliations and structured data Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle sensitive financial and client information confidentially Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
