Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Immigration Consultant to join our dedicated legal team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance and support to clients navigating complex immigration processes, ensuring they understand their options and achieve their immigration goals. Your proactive approach, combined with strong organizational skills and legal research expertise, will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service. Duties Conduct comprehensive client interviews to assess eligibility and gather necessary documentation for various immigration applications Prepare, review, and submit immigration petitions, visa applications, and related legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail Stay current on evolving immigration laws, policies, and procedures to provide accurate advice and ensure compliance Manage case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw and iManage, maintaining meticulous records of all client interactions and documentation Perform legal research on immigration law topics using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies Coordinate with government agencies and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth application processing Provide administrative support including document review, proofreading, transcription, data entry, filing, and managing document management systems Assist clients with understanding their rights and responsibilities while maintaining professional phone etiquette and organizational skills throughout all interactions Qualifications Proven experience or paralegal background in immigration law or related legal fields such as family law, employment law, or securities law Strong knowledge of immigration law procedures, policies, and documentation requirements Familiarity with legal research tools including Westlaw, LexisNexis, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) processes Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document review, case management software (e.g., PCLaw), and file organization Excellent writing skills for drafting legal correspondence, reports, and client communications Demonstrated ability in interviewing clients effectively to gather relevant information Organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Clerical experience including filing, proofreading, transcription, and phone etiquette is highly valued Knowledge of additional practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law or workers' compensation law is a plus Join us if you are passionate about helping individuals navigate complex legal landscapes!
