Established (45+ Years) AM 200 Law Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Education Law Practice in Fresno, CAAn established AM 200 law firm with over 45 years in practice is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience to join their Education Law practice in Fresno. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful issues affecting public schools and community colleges, including student civil rights, investigations, and employment matters. Candidates with backgrounds in insurance defense, workers' compensation, or even family law have historically succeeded in this practice.

Qualifications:
1-3 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense, labor and employment, or family law preferred but not required)Juris Doctorate (JD) and active California Bar membership in good standingStrong academic background preferred, with emphasis on candidates from UC or San Joaquin College of LawDemonstrated commitment to Fresno or the Central Valley region
Responsibilities:
Conduct third-party investigations into civil rights and discrimination complaints involving school employees or studentsAdvise public school and community college clients on employment, collective bargaining, and student-related mattersDraft pleadings, legal memoranda, and client advisoriesRepresent clients in administrative hearings, grievance arbitrations, and proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB)Collaborate with a growing team of attorneys across the firm's statewide education law practiceThis position offers hands-on experience, client contact, and mentorship from partners with diverse practices in general counsel, labor relations, and higher education law. Ideal for an attorney seeking a long-term career serving public education clients.
