We are seeking a motivated Family Law Associate Attorney with 0-8 years of experience who is eager to grow, develop strong litigation skills, and take on meaningful responsibility within a supportive team environment. Our cases include divorce, custody and visitation, child and spousal support, property division, modifications, domestic violence restraining orders, stepparent adoptions, guardianships, and related family law matters. You will work closely with clients, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and gain hands-on litigation and courtroom experience.
Salary range:
$80,000 - $150,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities include:
Representing clients in all aspects of family law matters Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery with attention to detail Preparing and reviewing Judicial Council forms and related filings Conducting legal research and advising clients on case strategy Negotiating settlements and participating in mediation Appearing in court for hearings, conferences, and trial preparation Managing a caseload while maintaining strong client relationships Requirements (0-3 years experience): JD from an accredited law school and active CA Bar membership Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Interest in developing courtroom and litigation skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Additional expectations for attorneys with 4-8 years experience: Demonstrated family law litigation experience Experience participating in mediation and settlement negotiations Experience drafting Marital Settlement Agreements (MSAs), briefs, and complex pleadings Experience preparing and reviewing family law Judicial Council forms Experience handling written discovery and depositions Experience handling evidentiary hearings and multi-day trials Ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution Strong strategic thinking and client advisory skills
