About the Opportunity We are partnering with a highly regarded legal practice to identify a Family Law Associate to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated family law matters in a collaborative, high-performing environment. The position offers meaningful client exposure, hands-on litigation experience, and a clear path for professional development. Key Responsibilities Draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents for family law matters including divorce, custody, alimony, asset separation, and domestic violence cases Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic support across all phases of discovery Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and relevant stakeholders — maintaining professionalism and discretion at every stage Manage case files from intake through resolution while maintaining organized and accurate documentation Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues on case strategy, legal analysis, and client counsel Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and other litigation-related proceedings as required Qualifications Required Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials Active bar membership in California, in good standing 2-5 years of hands-on experience practicing family law Demonstrated experience drafting motions and pleadings Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with clients and opposing counsel Prior law firm experience preferred Self-starter with solid organizational skills and a collaborative mindset Preferred Experience in accounting, forensic accounting, or financial matters related to family law (e.g., asset valuation, support calculations) Familiarity with high-net-worth divorce or complex asset separation matters What We're Looking For The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in family law litigation, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters with precision and empathy. Additional Information:
This position includes a standard annual billable-hour expectation consistent with a busy litigation practice. The company name is shared exclusively during the interview process.
