In this role, you will play a pivotal part in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities within emerging and high-growth sectors. Your energetic approach will drive deal flow, support due diligence processes, and foster strong relationships with entrepreneurs and industry experts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of transformative startups while developing your expertise in venture investing. Duties Identify and evaluate promising startups and early-stage companies through market research, industry analysis, and networking Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market sizing, and competitive landscape assessments Assist in structuring investment deals, including term sheet negotiations and legal documentation review Collaborate with portfolio companies to support strategic growth initiatives and operational improvements Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal review and external stakeholders Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments relevant to target sectors Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, industry experts, and other venture capital professionals Skills Strong research skills utilizing tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal or industry databases Excellent legal research and writing skills with an understanding of legal drafting processes Knowledge of legal frameworks across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law Proficiency in negotiation strategies to facilitate deal terms and partnership agreements Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document organization and compliance tracking Ability to analyze complex financial data and perform valuation modeling Effective communication skills for presenting findings clearly and confidently to diverse audiences Join us to be part of a vibrant team that thrives on innovation!
