Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. Recent law school graduate. In this role, you will support attorneys across a broad spectrum of legal areas of buisness law and peronal injury. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and providing essential administrative support. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a moderate paced legal environment while contributing to meaningful legal work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent research and writing abilities, and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research. Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memoranda, motions and correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage case files through document management systems ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Support litigation efforts by preparing discovery materials, reviewing documents for relevance, and organizing evidence. Perform data entry tasks related to case management systems while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Provide administrative support including filing, proofreading, transcription of legal notes, scheduling interviews with clients or witnesses, and managing phone etiquette with professionalism. Assist in client interviews and document review processes to gather pertinent information efficiently. Support project management initiatives within the firm by coordinating deadlines and tracking case progress. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to firm policies and procedures. Experience Prior experience or internship in a law office setting is highly preferred, but not required as this is an entry level position. Familiarity with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents. Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research and review documents meticulously. Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients and team members. Knowledge of document review processes and familiarity with contract analysis is a plus.
