This role provides the chance to collaborate closely with seasoned trial attorneys across a diverse array of civil litigation areas, including trusts and estates, employment law, business disputes, and personal injury, landlord-tenant, and similar matters. As a Law Clerk, you will develop hands-on experience in the courtroom, participate in managing cases from inception through resolution, communicate directly with clients and witnesses, and build practical skills essential for a successful legal career. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such Westlaw to support ongoing cases across multiple practice areas. Assist with drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Review and organize case files utilizing document management systems like Clio Manage to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, managing case schedules, and coordinating with team members to meet firm objectives. Perform detailed document review for litigation, transactional work, or compliance purposes while ensuring adherence to procedural standards. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as directed by attorneys to gather pertinent case information. Maintain meticulous records of research findings, case notes, and administrative documentation in compliance with firm policies. Skills Proven experience in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Strong understanding of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and UCC law. Excellent legal drafting skills with attention to detail in contracts, pleadings, and correspondence. Proficiency in legal case management software; familiarity with document review tools is a plus. Effective project management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Exceptional organizational skills for managing large volumes of documents and case files. Strong communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses and collaborating within a team environment. Experience supporting attorneys with administrative functions including data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and phone etiquette.
