Family Law Associate McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Job Overview McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. is a Denver litigation firm with a deep family law practice handling divorce, high-conflict custody, allocation of parental responsibilities, asset division, and support matters. We are looking for an associate who wants to do serious family law litigation by carrying a real caseload, appearing in court regularly, and working directly alongside senior attorneys who will invest in your development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full family law caseload across dissolution, custody, support, and asset division matters Represent clients in trials, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations Manage all aspects of casework from intake through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate completion of filings and documentation Build and maintain direct client relationships, providing clear legal counsel to people navigating difficult and high-stakes circumstances Work closely with other attorneys and support staff on case strategy, trial preparation, and complex multi-issue matters Stay current on Colorado family law developments, rules, and precedent
Requirements :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado Bar Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law OR 3 years of other practice area experience with an interest in family law, with demonstrated competency in courtroom litigation and settlement negotiations Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build rapport with clients and work well in a team environment Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload while ensuring meticulous attention to detail

Work Location:
Full-time, in-person at our Denver office. The nature of our practice, high-conflict litigation, client-facing work, and regular court appearances, makes this a role that cannot be done remotely. All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
