Job Description
A well-established and growing law firm in the Atlanta market is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join its litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney interested in developing a practice focused on construction law and complex litigation while receiving hands-on mentorship and professional development. Position Overview The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent legal research and writing skills, and a genuine interest in construction-related disputes. Attorneys in this role will work closely with experienced litigators on a variety of matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, project delays, risk management, and other commercial litigation matters. Responsibilities Assist with all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings. Analyze contracts and construction-related documents. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members. Support senior attorneys in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolution. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission. 0-3 years of litigation experience (judicial clerkship experience will also be considered). Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Interest in construction law and construction-related litigation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Participation in Moot Court , Mock Trial, Trial Advocacy, or similar competitive advocacy programs. Prior internship, clerkship, or externship experience involving litigation or construction law. Demonstrated interest in courtroom advocacy and litigation strategy.
