Nelson Mullins' Atlanta office is seeking a motivated and dedicated Practice Assistant to join our dynamic litigation team! This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insight into the legal field and work alongside experienced professionals. Be prepared to hit the ground running! Working directly with our litigation paralegals and attorneys, you'll assist with: implementing litigation strategies and creating charts/deliverables summarizing same; performing basic research and compiling of data; using electronic litigation databases and other technology proficiently to streamline case management; entering and tracking data; organizing documents and monitoring files; performing non-legal research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER and other court-related websites for case law, statutes, articles, books, etc.; and assisting with special projects. Whether working independently or in a team environment, you always stay organized and meet deadlines. You're a communication pro and recognize the importance of strong verbal and written communication to a busy team's success. You demonstrate close attention to detail and provide an accurate, neat and thorough work product, all while maintaining the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities. You're knowledgeable of relevant software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems An interest in working for 2 years prior to pursuing further education is a big plus.
