Associate Attorney - Government Affairs & Public Policy Law Firm (Boise, ID) A boutique law firm specializing in Government Affairs and Public Interest Litigation is seeking an intellectually curious Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. This firm operates at the intersection of law and public policy, representing state and local governmental entities in high-profile cases involving cutting-edge constitutional, statutory, and regulatory issues. This is a rare opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about public service and wants to engage in meaningful work that directly impacts the people of Idaho. The Opportunity In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that serves as a shield and a sword for public entities and the general welfare. Your practice will involve complex legal analysis and litigation that shapes the regulatory landscape of the state.
Key Responsibilities:
Constitutional & Statutory Litigation:
Representing governmental entities in matters involving sophisticated constitutional and regulatory challenges.Professional Accountability:
Pursuing disciplinary actions against professional and occupational licensees to ensure compliance with public interest standards.Public Policy Advocacy:
Navigating the complexities of state and local governance and providing strategic legal counsel on policy-driven matters.High-Level Writing:
Conducting deep-dive research and drafting persuasive briefs, motions, and legal memoranda on novel legal theories.Candidate Profile Experience:
2-4 years of legal practice, ideally with a background in litigation, administrative law, or clerkship experience.Mindset:
An intellectually curious individual who thrives on complex problem-solving and is genuinely passionate about public policy.Skills:
Exceptional writing and analytical abilities are essential for this role.Licensure:
