Family Law Associate Attorney Location:
Downtown Boise, ID Position Type:
Full-Time-In Office Position Overview A premier, well-established law practice located in the heart of Downtown Boise is seeking a dedicated and qualified Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This is a full-time position offering a sophisticated practice environment, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to provide high-quality legal advocacy to clients navigating sensitive transitions. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse domestic relations caseload and participate in all stages of family law litigation, dispute resolution, and negotiations. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional courtroom presentation, and a deeply compassionate approach to client advocacy. Primary Responsibilities Represent clients in a wide variety of domestic relations matters, managing cases from initial intake through final disposition or trial. Draft complex pleadings, motions, trial briefs, discovery requests, financial affidavits, and settlement agreements. Prepare for and attend court hearings, temporary order hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Provide clear, strategic, and empathetic legal counsel to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options at every stage of their case. Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex financial data, property valuations, and custody evaluations. Collaborate with senior counsel, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management and optimal client service. Qualifications & Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Degree:
Must possess a degree from an ABA-approved law school.
Bar Admission:
Must be an active member in good standing of the Idaho State Bar (or eligible for immediate admission via reciprocity).
Experience:
Prior experience or strong familiarity handling family law cases—specifically divorce, child custody, guardianship, and adoption matters—is highly preferred.
Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong legal research capability, and robust negotiation tactics.
