Job Description

Header Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Law Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. We are a small firm that practices in personal injury and work comp, with some landlord tenant. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to develop their legal expertise while contributing to impactful legal work in a fast-paced environment. Header Duties Assist attorneys with case research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to gather relevant information across various practice areas such as securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law. Prepare and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Conduct thorough document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy before submission or filing. Support litigation processes through data entry, filing court documents electronically or physically, and maintaining meticulous records of case activities. Perform legal administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars for attorneys, and coordinating meetings or interviews with clients or witnesses. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as directed by attorneys to gather pertinent information for case development. Assist with legal research on various topics including landlord-tenant law, family law, immigration law, and UCC law to support case strategy and client advisement. Transcribe dictations or recorded statements accurately for case documentation purposes. Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks across multiple cases. Header Qualifications Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a law office setting. Proficiency in managing legal case management systems and document management software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.. Experience with document review, proofreading, transcription, and data entry tasks with high accuracy. Knowledge of multiple practice areas including, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and litigation procedures. Strong interviewing skills combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactions. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
