Role:
Join the Champaign County Circuit Clerk's Office as a Legal Clerk and become an essential part of our justice system. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and are committed to public service.
Key Responsibilities:

Interact professionally and courteously with the public, attorneys, judges, other County staff, and partner organizations—even on challenging days.

What We're Looking For:
Reliable and punctual : You show up every day, on time, ready to work.
Tech-savvy :
You are comfortable using computers, office software, and modern office equipment. Preference is given to applicants who are proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Customer-focused :
You enjoy helping people, even when they are frustrated or upset.
Detail-oriented :
You have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Results-driven :
You prefer to focus on what needs to be done and how to get it done, rather than making excuses.
Minimum Requirements :
High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Additional clerical or secretarial training is a plus.
Language Skills :

Compensation:
Set by AFSCME contract. $19.48 per hour starting wage. $100 per month after the probationary period for customer service in non-English languages.
