About Us:
We are a law firm that practices immigration, criminal, and family law. Our ideal candidate is eager to learn and build experience in the field, with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They must be bilingual in Spanish and English and capable of providing translation support for clients both in the office and on the road.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General In-Office Support Prepare, print, and organize documents for attorney review and signature Obtain signatures and distribute finalized documents Maintain and update physical case files and client folders Scan and upload client/court documents to the case management system Prepare motions for in-person filing Handle courthouse and local document delivery/retrieval Coordinate with remote paralegals on in-office tasks Assist with administrative and billing tasks.
Criminal Case-Specific Duties:
Prepare discovery packets, subpoenas, and notices for filing/delivery Track and organize police reports, court notices, and exhibits Assist with trial binders and exhibit prep Monitor court calendars and ensure files are hearing-ready Support paralegals with jail correspondence and document intake
Bilingual & Translation Support:
Provide in-office interpretation for attorneys, staff, and clients Accompany attorneys to meetings, jails, and court-related visits for interpretation Translate written correspondence, client statements, and forms as needed
Education/Experience:
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required Prior office experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office, scanning, and filing systems (legal software a plus) Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally for attorney support
