Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented In-House Counsel to join our legal team. This vital role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive legal guidance across a broad spectrum of practice areas, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess exceptional research and drafting skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our organization, you will work closely with various departments to navigate complex legal landscapes, advocate for the company's interests, and uphold the highest standards of legal integrity. Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on diverse matters including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant issues, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law and regulations, litigation, and patent law. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation. Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and decision-making. Manage litigation processes by coordinating with external counsel when necessary and overseeing case documentation. Advise on regulatory compliance related to environmental policies, tribal regulations, securities laws, and other applicable statutes. Develop internal policies and procedures that align with current laws and best practices. Maintain organized legal records using effective legal administrative practices to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law. Proven experience in multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law. Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Excellent legal drafting and writing skills demonstrated through prior work or publications. Experience managing legal administrative tasks efficiently within a busy law office environment. Exceptional negotiation abilities coupled with strategic thinking to resolve complex legal issues effectively. Pay:
