Overview At Gappy Law, we provide compassionate yet aggressive representation for divorce, mediation, child custody, and family law matters throughout.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Law Consultant to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will provide expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of practice areas, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for our organization. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making, facilitate negotiations, and contribute to the development of robust legal strategies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your legal skills can make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal analysis. Draft, review, and edit legal documents including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and memoranda with precision and clarity. Provide guidance on various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation. Assist in negotiations with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professional integrity. Support the legal administrative team by organizing case files, managing deadlines, and maintaining accurate records of legal activities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Stay updated on current legal developments and interpret their implications for the organization's operations. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the bar is preferred but not mandatory for certain roles. Proven experience in legal research utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents. Extensive knowledge of diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of facilitating successful agreements. Familiarity with legal drafting standards and procedures within a busy law office environment. Prior experience in legal research and administrative tasks related to case management is highly desirable. Pay:
$68,133.84 - $82,053.66 per year
