The Law Development and Alumni Relations Office is seeking a student to work closely with office administration to support the team, department, its alumni and the broader law school community.
Specific tasks include:
o
Records Management:
Maintain law alumni records using legal databases and software (Lexis Advance, Google, LinkedIn, Leadership Connect, LiveAlumni, Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board database). Conduct a records management review for each Reunion class year and NovUs class year annually, in addition to other alumni reviews as directed by the office. o
Data Support:
Work with confidential alumni data to support the Alumni Relations and Development team. Filter and manipulate excel files into data reports requested by office staff for use in alumni relations engagement and development strategy. o
Inn of Court Assistant:
Submit Inn of Court programs for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit with the PA CLE Board, create Smartsheet surveys for attendees to complete attendance verification and CLE credit, send out-of-state certificates to attorneys barred outside of PA and support other duties associated with Inn of Court management. o
Event Marketing:
Use Canva and other software to create digital and print pieces to be used for marketing office programs and events, informational pieces for development officers and other projects. o
Benchmarking Projects:
Support the office in keeping alumni engagement programs relevant and unique by benchmarking against other law schools. o Contribute to keeping office a resource and welcoming space for students, visiting alums and donors. Responsible for updating office flyers, supporting guests in the office and assisting with supply inventory. o Monitor the Law School Alumni Relations and Development email accounts. Reply to all responses in a timely manner while maintaining professionalism. o Event support: Assist with preparing supplies needed for about 25 events and programs per semester.
Requirements:
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. o Ability to learn new software systems needed for position. o Flexible work attitude to allow for shifting work priorities. o Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in all work. o Resourceful problem-solver with consistent follow-through and a proactive mindset. o Comfort with responding to in-person, phone and email requests from students, faculty and staff. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgement. o Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently
