Firm:
A nationally recognized AM Law 100 firm with 500+ attorneys providing comprehensive legal services to innovative companies from startups to global enterprises.
Role:
The Legal Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable balances for the law firm. This role works closely with attorneys, clients, and the accounting department to ensure timely payment of invoices, maintain positive client relationships, and reduce aged receivables while adhering to firm policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports. Contact clients regarding overdue invoices through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence. Collaborate with attorneys and practice groups to resolve billing disputes and payment issues. Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on delinquent accounts. Research and reconcile account discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of collection activities and client communications.
Qualifications:
Must have law firm experience. 3+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or legal billing experience. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with legal billing and accounting software preferred.

Hybrid Compensation/Benefits:
Base Salary:
$80-105k+, commensurate with experience.
Additional Compensation:
Annual performance-based bonus.
