Associate Attorney at Environmental Law Firm

Lozeau Drury is seeking a passionate and talented Associate Attorney with 0-6 years of experience to join our team. Lozeau Drury LLP is a leading plaintiff's side environmental law firm that represents non-profit groups, community groups, and unions in California and beyond. We bring cases under CEQA, NEPA, the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Proposition 65, and other statutes to protect the environment and public health from harmful projects and practices. As an Associate Attorney at Lozeau Drury you will work closely with one of our experienced partners and handle a variety of challenging and rewarding cases.

You will be responsible for:

Conducting legal research Preparing comment letters on proposed agency actions Drafting pleadings and motions Conducting discovery Appearing before city councils and state agencies Appearing in state and federal court Tracking and managing deadlines in assigned cases We are looking for someone who has: Knowledge of CEQA, and other state and federal environmental laws Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Excellent research, analytic, writing, and communication skills Ability to think creatively and strategically Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Occasional overnight travel to attend hearings required 1-6 years of litigation experience preferred California bar admission Lozeau Drury LLP offers competitive salaries, benefits, and a pleasant working environment.
