This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of legal areas while supporting attorneys in case preparation, research, and document management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent research abilities, and a passion for the law. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support ongoing cases and projects. Assist with drafting legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, contracts, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Review and organize case files, documents, and evidence using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw. Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings through meticulous document review and case organization. Manage data entry tasks related to case management systems, ensuring all information is current and accurately maintained. Perform administrative duties including filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized records within the law office environment. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as directed and assist with tracking case progress through project management tools. Skills Strong knowledge of legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation procedures. Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis. Experience with legal case management software like iManage and PCLaw; familiarity with document review processes. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently using organizational skills and project management techniques. Strong clerical experience including filing, data entry, document management systems operation, and administrative support tasks. Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to interview clients or witnesses confidently. Knowledge of legal administrative procedures such as filing systems, document review protocols, and record keeping standards.
