Role:
Jumpstart your legal career with LCRA's legal team! We are seeking a driven 2L and/or 3L students for our hands-on Summer, Fall, Spring clerkships. You'll tackle real-world legal challenges and build practical skills, working directly alongside seasoned attorneys in a dynamic environment. You will have an opportunity to collaborate with staff on a variety of topics such as: AI-related topics, data privacy, and data centers to navigating energy, and environmental law, with possible exposure in litigation, transactional work, governance, and regulatory compliance. This is an opportunity to build a versatile background within the legal field. Apply your research skills to some of today's most complex and fascinating legal challenges!

April How You'll Contribute:
Embrace LCRA's core guidelines, policies and procedures to help protect our regional resources. Draft and prepare high-stakes legal documents, including briefs, memos, motions, and advisory opinions. Synthesize complex evidence and case files into clear, actionable summaries and strategic insights. Conduct rigorous cite-checking, proofreading, and precise legal research using industry standard and e-discovery platforms. Balance competing priorities while maintaining peak productivity and seamless organization. Uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality in all sensitive matters.
How You're Qualified:
Must be enrolled in law school and attending classes. Second year law student.
How You'll Stand Out:
Experience in interpreting statutes, court decisions, and legal opinions. Proficient in conducting preliminary and advanced legal research. Excellent interpersonal and legal writing skills. Proficient in document management and strong research skills. Proficient in critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail with accuracy.
