Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Family Law Associate to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and spousal support. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for advocating clients' rights and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through complex legal processes with professionalism, empathy, and precision. This position provides a platform to develop your expertise in family law while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, alimony negotiations, and adoption cases Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with meticulous attention to detail Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes Provide comprehensive client consultations to explain legal options, process steps, and potential outcomes with clarity and empathy Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving family law litigation matters Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements while managing deadlines effectively Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required; admission to the state bar is essential Proven experience in family law or litigation is highly preferred Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis for case law analysis and legal updates Excellent writing skills demonstrated through clear legal drafting of pleadings and correspondence Prior legal administrative experience is advantageous for managing case documentation efficiently Demonstrated negotiation skills capable of facilitating amicable resolutions or advocating assertively in court settings Familiarity with the use of legal research tools like LexisNexis is essential for staying current on evolving laws Join our team if you're eager to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while honing your expertise in family law.
