Salary & Incentives Starting Salary:
~$105,809/year + full county benefits $15,000 Signing Bonus $1,000 Employee Referral Bonus (for referring county employees)
Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $1,500/year Bilingual Pay Incentive (if applicable) Retirement Plan + 457(b) Uniform Allowance What You'll Do Assist with law enforcement operations under supervision Participate in academy preparation and required training Support public safety and community engagement efforts Prepare for transition into Police Academy and sworn Deputy role Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED ( college coursework preferred ) Valid California Driver's License Must be 21+ years old Ability to pass: Background investigation (criminal, financial, employment) Physical & psychological exams POST Pellet-B T-Score of 42+ required Hiring Process Application review Mandatory In-Person Information Session + Physical Agility Test (PAT) Includes 500-yard run, wall climb, dummy drag Oral panel interview Background investigation Career Advancement Attend and complete Police Academy training Promote to Deputy Sheriff I (Sworn Peace Officer) Transition to Safety Retirement benefits Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Professional Development Opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer Napa County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
