12-HR Intake Support Technician Cumberland County, NC - 3.8 Fayetteville, NC Job Details Full-time $37,827.06 a year 20 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Retirement plan Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Typing Full Job Description Position Overview Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to receive, photograph, and fingerprint into this facility persons who have been lawfully arrested or lawfully detained by local, state or Federal law enforcement authorities or who have been committed to Cumberland County Detention Center by a court order. Examples of Duties Correctly enter biographical information into Jail and Records Management. Photograph individuals who are arrested. Fingerprint individuals who are arrested. Provide DNA kits to law enforcement agencies when needed. Makes entries into DCI. Conducts criminal history checks. Handles confidential information. Maintains organization of workspace. Assist other departments within the Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies. Maintain a daily log of individuals fingerprinted and photographed. Ensure that all supplies and adequate forms are stocked from daily operations. Performs related work as required. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or GED and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least two (2) years office assistant, secretarial or records processing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must take a typing test administered through the Cumberland County Detention Center at time of interview. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation which includes, but not limited to, criminal background check and drug screen. Additional requirements must be submitted within 5 days of applying for this position. We are able to notarize your application free of charge and provide photocopies of your documents. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to learn JMS, RMS, and DCI. Ability to obtain and maintain DCI certifications. Ability to interpret various information obtained through DCI and the SBI. Ability to explain and instruct law enforcement agencies how to obtain a DNA sample. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, law enforcement, and detainees. Ability to organize work effectively. Must be able to work around inmates.
