Job Description

Certified Deputy Sheriff The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a Certified Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age; have a valid Nebraska driver's license; a high school diploma or GED; no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions; be able to read, write and understand the English language; and be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Nebraska certification is preferred but not mandatory. Out of state certification must meet reciprocity requirements. Hourly pay, $28.98

85, dependent upon the number of years of service. Benefits include full time pay, shift differential and premium pay for specialized duties, access to health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, subsidized family health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, employer matched-retirement, take home vehicles and furnished uniforms.
