SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2026.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for the physical security of the designated areas of the Sheriff's Office. Potential areas of assignment include, but are not limited to: the Law Enforcement Center, the Judicial Complex, General Sessions, Family and Probate Courts and Crisis Stabilization Unit. Duties include, but are not limited to: escorts, security patrols, report writing, answering calls for assistance, manning the screening stations and performing Main Control Room operations. Minimum Qualifications:

A qualified applicant must (1) be a Citizen of the United States over 21 years of age; (2) possess a high school diploma (state issued) or GED; (3) be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts; (4) possess a current valid SC driver's license; (5) have no criminal convictions that carry a sentence of a year or more. Applicants meeting these minimum criteria must submit to, and successfully complete, all phases of the hiring process to be considered for employment. Nelson-Denny Vocabulary and Reading Examination:

a two-phase background investigation, a credit check, a psychological examination/evaluation, a polygraph examination, an oral interview and a pre-employment physical examination.
