Job Description
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Law Enforcement Records Specialist II to play a vital role in supporting our agency and serving the community. SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2026.Your duties will include:
Accurate Record Management:
Maintaining and updating comprehensive records, both digitally and in written form, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.Data Entry & Retrieval:
Efficiently entering and retrieving data using specialized systems like RMS (Records Management System) and NCIC (National Crime Information Center).Public Service & Information Dissemination:
Providing exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries from the public and Charleston County Sheriff's Office personnel with accuracy and professionalism.Communication & Collaboration:
Serving as a key communicator, interacting regularly with the public and other government agencies in a courteous and helpful manner.Administrative Support:
Providing general clerical support, including typing, data entry, and filing with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing repetitive clerical tasks. To be considered for this important position, you should possess the following: U.S. Citizen High School Diploma or GED Valid South Carolina Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) Commitment to obtaining NCIC 40-hour certification within 6 months Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable). Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement). No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers. No student loans in default status.Our Application Process:
