Job Description

Join Our Team! The Garland County Sheriff's Office is accepting new applications only (have not applied in the last year) for the position of Patrol Deputy. All application documents should be submitted as complete, legibly written or typed, and signed where requested, to be considered. This includes both certified and non-certified law enforcement officers. We offer leadership training at all levels of employment while investing in our people to ensure their success. The Garland County Sheriff's Office seeks to successfully address challenges in the community and the agency by examining and addressing an adaptative process that will require a constant review of our staff, compensation, leadership, recruiting techniques, supervision, operations, and retention. This position offers competitive pay starting at $56,849 annually, APERS retirement, longevity pay, paid overtime, holiday incentive pay, paid vacation, take-home vehicle privileges for Garland County residents, Certificate pay, and employer-paid health, dental, and life insurance.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 21. High School Diploma or GED from a state-accredited institution is required. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. Must be willing to submit to background investigation, drug screening, Computerized Voice Stress Analysis, and psychological evaluation. Must be a citizen of the United States. This position will require night(s)/weekend work schedules, subject to 24 hour on call schedules and shift re-assignments as needed.
