Licenses and Certifications:
Must be a current Police Officer (In or Out of State).
Physical Demands:
Heavy exertion of up to 100 pounds of force.
Visual:
Must have a visual acuity correctable to 20/40 or better.
Work Environment:

The Peoria Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals, who are already certified, to work for the City of Peoria as full time Police Officers. Qualified applicants will be contacted on an individual basis to schedule appointments for the background investigation. Also, lateral, full-time Police officers have the ability to earn paid time off (up to 80 hours) based on previous experience in the same job function through our Award Leave program, if eligible. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Have a passion for law enforcement and making a positive impact on the community. Possess good customer service and strong communication skills. Be resourceful and have critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Be able to work alone, as well as part of a team. Possess high ethical standards and people skills.
