  • California Basic P.O.S.T (Police Officer Standards and Training) Certificate OR successful completion of a basic POST approved academy within the last three (3) years.
  • Meet legal requirements for possession of a concealable firearm
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates
  • Valid California driver's license

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
  • Prior experience working with juveniles preferred Proof of certificates, education, etc.
will be required upon recommendation for employment.
BENEFITS PACKAGE FOR SWORN POSITIONS
  • PERS 3% @ 50 for Classic PERS Members and new members as of January 1, 2013 will participate in the 2.7% @ 57 formula (9% currently paid by employee, 9% matching contribution by FUSD)
  • Full Medical/Vision/Dental insurance for employee and dependents; 0 contribution by employee.
  • 130 hours of paid holiday per year
  • P.O.S.T incentive pay for intermediate/advanced certificates (5% and 7%, non
  • cumulative, respectively).
  • 96 hours of vacation per year (additional time accrued beginning with 5th and 11th years of service).
  • 96 hours of sick leave per year.
  • Life insurance policy paid by FUSD, upgradeable to $300,00 at nominal cost.
  • Plan 125 available.
  • Longevity incentives
  • $1,000 per year uniform allowance
